Katie Young is a Professional Teacher and Leader in the Early College High School Reform Movement who transforms vision and mission into boots on the ground, smart, efficient, and powerful teaching practice in the classroom designed to grow teachers, engage youth, maximize learning, and increase access to higher education and equitable life outcomes for our nation’s youth. Young has devoted her career to Michigan’s flagship middle college, Mott Middle College High School of Flint. She is instrumental as a think tank in vision and practice for early colleges statewide and nationally, providing leadership in instruction for colleagues and designing hybridized, unique, and dynamic curriculum, specific to the early college high school setting. Katie Young holds a M. S. in Educational Leadership: Administration, B. F. A. in Theatre Performance, B.A. in English, and is a Certified Urban Teacher.
